Fox Buys Rights To Torchwood

As good as The Office?  I won't hold my breath but I will hope.

Also, an American spinoff of Dr. Who?  Does that mean the Doctor may appear on American television?  No way.

2 I'm afraid of this.  And I'm a huge Doctor Who fan.  I've watched all of Torchwood, naturally.  And, Doctor Who has aired on SyFy, which is kind of American television!

3 Yeah, but this will be first run on US television.  Like, a remake?  Or a sister show?  That's the impression I got from the snippet I read.  Don't have a link handy.

Do you really think Fox would pick up Barrowman, though, Fixit?  Not that anyone else coulod be Captain Jack, but you never know.

And, yes, I concede; the closest we've gotten to Torchwood in the States is BBCA.  It's why I subscribe to BBCA in the first place.

6 nobody else but Barrowman could BE Captain Jack, period, end of story. I'm sure Fox could get him, if they really wanted to. And if they plan to start making Torchwood here, the they HAVE to have him. The dynamics would never be the same, otherwise.
