Favorite Christmas movies

Which one is your favorite?  I'm actually kind of curious to hear what my Jewish and non-Christian readers (I'm guessing there's at least one or two out of our fifteen or so readers) think of Christmas movies too, or if they have favorites.  I'm a devout watcher of A Christmas Story,

I watch a good bit of the 24-hour TBS marathon every year...sad thing is someone gave me the DVD, and I still watch it on TV.  It's tradition.

RIP Nurse Chapel

Majel Barrett Roddenberry died today of leukemia.  I'm assuming I don't have to tell anyone here who she was.

If only Val-U-Rite came in a cloth bag

I'm not sure what sort of cloth would be appropriate for a bottle of Val-U-Rite. Worn hobo-smelling flannel, maybe?

Ladies and gentlemen, the cast of the next Batman movie....

Christopher Nolan will be returning to direct, and the film is tentatively titled Gotham.

Eddie Murphy - The Riddler
Shia LeBeouf - Robin
Rachel Weisz - Catwoman

Christian Bale and his unintelligible Batman voice will be playing Bruce Wayne again, and Michael Caine will be returning as well.

There's still time to remember the vets

Soldiers' Angels is offering a 15% discount on all merchandise with the coupon code angels15.  Purchases are tax-deductible, so you can use them to lower your adjusted gross income down down down so that when the stimulus checks start flowing next year, your income will be low enough to qualify.

Presented without context

“For the first time in my professional life, my coworkers are unaware of whether I have pubic hair or not.”
You know, I don't make a hell of a lot of money, but right now, I'm feeling pretty good about my career path.

This buddy of mine

I know a good number of you read The Hostages (and you should, I do, I just need to comment there every now and then), but if you don't you may not have seen This Buddy of Mine, run by one of the commenters over there.  It's a collection of various goofy/stupid stories, and there are definitely some good ones.

Mac Taylor got a shiny bauble

OK, more than a shiny bauble.

President George W. Bush bestowed Presidential Citizen Medals on a figure from the Watergate scandal, the librarian of Congress and the actor known as Lieutenant Dan in the 1994 Academy Award-winning movie "Forrest Gump".
I've been impressed for a long time with Gary Sinise's unapologetic conservatism, his putting his money where his mouth is, and his ability to turn a mediocre TV franchise into something halfway worth watching. He never embarrasses his party or his viewers by putting us in a situation where someone might be uncomfortable watching him because they can't get past the stupid things said at their last presser (*cough cough* ninety percent of Hollywood *cough cough*).

How to stalk your favorite conservative, part 1

Find them on TCOT.

Unfortunately, Huckabee's on there.  Other than that, there are some quality, stalk-worthy conservatives on the list.

Get well soon, Bettie Page!

Bettie Page has had a heart attack and is in intensive care.

For those of you unfortunate enough to have no idea who Bettie Page is, a mildly NSFW picture is below the fold.

Take that, you shameless hussies!

There will be no more Bratz dolls after Christmas.

I blame the culture for creating them in the first place! The way those trollops sit there plastic and lifeless, flaunting their plasticness! Thank God they can no longer infect America with their brazen sluttiness. Whew.

A Convergence of Morons; LINK FIXED (kinda)

**Apparently links don't work in the new Facebook, so just search "The Moronosphere Facebook Bureau" and you'll find it.  And feel free to add me.**

Ask and you shall receive.  There is finally a group especially for Morons on Facebook (not geographically tethered to Chicago)!

To celebrate the occasion I booked one of the biggest rock and roll bands in rock and roll history: Neil Hamburger and the Take Your Hat Off Choir.  They're singing their #1 rock and roll hit, "Take Your Hat Off."

Christmas Music, Moron Style

I think this long Friday afternoon calls for some Christmas music. Have some Brian Setzer Orchestra doing Jingle Bells.

Now to pretend I'm working before the office happy hour at 4. That's right bitches I get an office happy hour at 4 and you don't. I win!

Here have the James Bond theme too.

Google is hiding something

And it's not that they're reading your email and laughing at your pathetic life.

"We have never seen an OS stripped off the user agent string before," Vizzaccaro told InternetNews.com. "I believe you have to arrange to have that happen, it's not something we've seen before with a proxy server. All I can tell you is there's a good percentage of the people at Google showing up [at Web pages] with their OS hidden."
The theory floating around is that Google's developing its own OS.

Client Nine writing a column

Former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer will be penning an op-ed column for Slate about the economy and how he feels the financial crisis should be handled.

I know I'm not the only one hoping that he runs out of material and feels compelled to blog about his Client Nine experiences. How do I say this so confidently? Because the editor of Slate flat-out admitted it:

David Plotz, who edits Slate.com, said Spitzer has not said whether he will write about the events leading to his resignation, but, "if he chooses to write about that in Slate, we'd be happy to publish it."
