1 We happen to have three veterans in the family so it's easy to think about them this weekend. Of course, we are only 90 minutes from Indy and the Indy 500 is a pretty big event too!

2 Every male member of my family on my fathers side has served.  (well, I think a couple of the cousins missed, but that was made up for by the few females who filled the gap)

These days demolish any sense of bearing that I have.

Those who are are the best of us, and remind those of us who were what we gave up.

It's brutal, but in a good way, kinda.

3 Douglas, we haven't given up. We're just waiting for the whistle to blow. 20 years, from VN-Desert Storm, and we face what we do here at home? No, but we wait.
