A question for the law talking guys

Does anyone besides me find it a little unsettling that the judge is taking so long to hand down a ruling on the SB 1070 injunction? It seems like if she was going to deny the injunction she would have had a decision on Friday or this morning. The fact that she hasn't released one makes me think she is really digging for precedent to justify the injunction.

Now some words of wisdom from Lionel Hutz (Your case won in 30 minutes or your pizza is free)

No, not really.  Besides,  I liked the questions she asked of the government at the hearing.

I once waited 3 months to succeed in a motion for reconsideration of a motion to intervene in a divorce.

It was worth the wait.

2 Well with my legal education gleaned from law and order I have no idea what that meant, but it seems she is cutting it a little fine when the law takes effect in 2.5 more days.

3 No reason to rush yet. It doesn't matter if she finishes tonight, tomorrow, or Wednesday at 9pm. There'll be no difference in the legal effect of the ruling (though there may be some...interesting, shall we say, impacts on the appeals posture) so long as it comes before Thursday.

Moreover, she's going to want to get this right. Whichever way she decides is guaranteed to be appealed and guaranteed to be picked over by pretty much everyone in the country. So, it's not something she'll be eager to mess up.

She worked over the weekend, that's for sure, and her clerk did to. Probably polishing the thing now. Keep in mind that she has other things on her docket that can't just be shoved aside.

Psshah, I say!  I want answers now.

Well you guys are the lawyers so I'll defer to your expertise, I just get a little worried given the string of stupid reasoning in legal opinions that has been evident the past few years.

5 I think she is desparate to find a reason for an injuction but has not found it yet.  If she was ideologically disposed she would have issued it.  Or it could be the issue is complex and she is being honest in dealing with it and trying to write a error proof order either way.  Or she is delaying the injuction for maximum political effect.

6 She's using the delay to line up a TV gig
