rachael ray: pure evil

I fucking knew it!  Told ya Rachael Ray was evil defined...

Okay, yeah, its a reach, but I'll take any excuse I'm given to declare Rachael Ray the Antichrist.  Cannot stand her.

okay, now people are reaching

Obviously most people were appalled by the Vanity Fair photo shoot with Miley Cyrus, and with reason.  Now we have a few people trying to make a Got Milk ad she did (HT) and turn it into another controversy.  I don't know how much of this is just the Brit press trying to stir tabloid-y shit up as they are wont to do and how much this is legit, but this is a stretch.

Just because,

this is just pitiful

Some church in Georgia is trying to get people to join their congregation by offering up free raffle tickets for a $500 gas card if they attend some revival.  This Catholic Yankee wouldn't go to a revival for anything less than chance at seven figures, he prefers his mass on the quietly reverent side.  And no, that isn't a knock on those that do.  I just find much of the evangelical style too much, unless its a televangelist on TBN, then its fucking hilarious.  Might explain part of my strong dislike of Huckabee.

Still, when you're trying to get people in the door with gimmicks like this, you've got problems.  Shouldn't the church community, worship and good works be enough?

super america joins yum! foods on the list of businesses i won't buy from

There aren't any of them here in PA, but if I'm in the Midwest, I won't be buying gas or anything else at Super America.  A Super America employee fought off a robber who was beating a female co-worker, and he was fired for his efforts.  No good deed goes unpunished, I guess.  Unfortunately for this guy, he can't collect unemployment either.  Since Pizza Hut (and Yum! Foods by extension) and Super America won't let their employees defend themselves or other co-workers, I won't be doing any business with them.
