Ahhh, the sweet smell of success.

You know, sometimes you work and you work and you just don't know if you're doing any good.

Other times, you see results. You realize you're not just pissing into the wind. Those are the good times.

Just 8 percent of Americans want the members of Congress re-elected, according to a CBS News-New York Times poll

Yes, CBS and the NY Times, probably even with their usual demographic tricks, found out that people are totally pissed off at the Democrat led gov't.

How cool would 100% turnover be?
Not because it would mean that Republicans would be the majority in the House and would at least gain seats in the Senate, but because of all the career pols sent home. Think of those members of the House who've been elected every two years for decades going home to K Street....errrr.... home.

Yeah, Puppy-blender link. So sue me.

Not just "No", but "Hell No!"

Yawn, another day another beltway-better saying, "What happened to the great, intelligent, Obama?"
Quote
How could such smart people do so many stupid things?

Because they weren't smart, you were willfully ignorant (which equates to functional stupidity).
Obama was never tested. Remember the one semi-difficult question?
Quoth Obama
I don't want you to waste your question.

Fuck you Captain America! (?)

Via the Jawas, we see this link to Right Wing News about Captain USO...errrr...Captain America.
Some blog nobody reads commented about how he's embarassed about the American flag.
Now? He's opining on how the Tea Parties are racist. A black superhero is thinking about infiltrating but...
Quote
"I don't exactly see a black man from Harlem fitting in with a bunch of angry white folks,

And no, Falcon is not talking about getting a job at CNN or MSNBC.
Quote from RWN
After this we find that the Captain's plan is to send the black man into a redneck bar to pretend to be a black man working for the IRS and to get everyone all mad

So, Captain America is NBC in disguise?
Double fuck you.

I never really was all that into comic books, I just read my brother's, but this pisses me off.
Next up, the Haunted Tank will listen to J.E.B. Stuart and start running down black folks outside tea party events.

Popcorn Stocks Through the Roof

Even with O'Keefe getting busted, Big Gov't managed to slap Minitru around again.
That's just funny.
They got too complacent and out of shape in the Bush years when he didn't fight back and they just can't learn. The warm cocoon of leftist thought makes learning difficult.
They think everybody is stupid but them, in other words, they know far too much to learn anything.
Forgot the h/t, same place you saw it, Ace's headlines.

Is our politicians learning?

Not just no but Hell No!
You saw the link, Shelby is "holding" all of Obama's nominees.
Not because they give "misleading" and more "misleading" testimony in their nomination hearings, or because they all seem to have a tax "forgetting" problem nor of course, because of the interesting choices like the union rep/labor board member, no, not because of all the ethical problems from what seems like each and every nominee, but because Shelby wants some of that sweet, sweet pork.
He's gumming up the works in a totally unrelated area in a particularly lame, but obviously totally legit, move to suckle at the public teat (I'm not talking about the merits of the deal, I don't care. It doesn't make any difference.)
It's funny how often I agree with idealistic lefties, you can do the right thing for the wrong reasons. I'm always in favor of gumming up the works of gov't but that's a lame reason and way to do it.

I wonder if he'll have a realistic, conservative challenger in his next primary.

Curiouser and Curiouser

The Saga of Treacher is getting curiouser and curiouser.

The State Dept's  attitude is pretty much, "Shut up and go away."
Now they're claiming a jogger collided with their SUV.
According to the link, he doesn't jog.

I'm not going to excerpt it, RTWT, it's.... interesting reading.
Edited for clarity.

Rahm meets Alinsky's 4th rule

The left demands rigid political correctness, well, they got rigid political correctness.  The Special Olympics is really making Rahm Emmanuel squirm.  Fun to watch, really.

America's Economy is De-Evolving

A couple months ago I posted an op-ed I had submitted to the Washington Post both here and as part of an Open Blog over at Ace's . In it I speculated that one of the things that will be necessary to rebuild the American economy is a resurgence of on shore manufacturing. I was pretty thoroughly shouted down at Ace's both by those who believed I was advocating a command economy and by those who believe that manufacturing in the US is dead.

Well I am happy to say I am not alone in thinking that a service economy is not sufficient to sustain American dominance.

That lack of an industrial base has put the American economy and worker in jeopardy, says distressed investor Lynn Tilton, CEO of Patriarch Partners. "The reality is, in recent times, every great empire has been built on a manufacturing economy," notes Tilton. "The fall of every empire has been the failure to remember that one fundamental fact."

Tilton's point is simple: the country cannot thrive as simply a service-based economy. As Tilton explains to Aaron and Henry in the accompanying clip, there isn't enough demand for services and those related jobs to keep the U.S. competitive on a global scale. We should also not over look the fact some people are better at building and making things then working on spreadsheets in a cubicle

Now  I have to admit I'm not sure what empires she is referring to but she agrees with me so she must be a genius.

Could Another Conservative Conquest Happen In Obama's Home State?

Adam Andrzejewski (yeah, I copy and pasted his name) is running in the Republican Primary for Governor as a conservative against a guy who endorsed Obama. Andrzejeswki is not only unabashedly conservative, but he recently received an endorsement that rises to the "Holy Shit!" level by having Lech Walesa endorse him. And last time I checked, Chicago has a large Polish and Lithuanian population.

Internal Polling (FWIW) has Andrzejewski only down 2 points, so we will see what happens. But either way, this guy is making waves in a state that is otherwise tough sailing for non Democrats, and with what just transpired in Massachusetts, who knows what could happen?

In a just world

As I read this link about Lech Walesa going to a Tea Party event I had a thought.
In a just world this man would be a hero, feted wherever he went and talked about and revered at least as much as Nelson Mandela.

Alas, the thugocracy he ended was a brutal, commie one and for that he can never be forgiven by all the right people.

Oh, So That's How It's Going To Be, Eh?

Initially, I wanted to mock how the left is handling their recent setbacks in a calm and professional manner. Like in this video.

And, yes, I am a hypocrite for loving Stewart this one time.

I was going to mock the left for continuing to push the Obamacare Disaster, despite yet another political pummeling, for it is worthy of mocking. But I can't. I cannot bring myself to pile onto something that has already been fucked worse than a barn full of capons. I can't, because what more can I add? What more can I add to a group of people who are so determined to push a massively unpopular shitpile of fuckyfuckfuckfuck laced with fuck despite every warning outside of their inner circle not to proceed?

But then, Alice sent me this. Go. Read. And report back.

My response?

It's Election Day!

It's now Election Day in Massachusett[e]s. What just a few weeks ago was an afterthought in the Bluest of Blue states is now poised to become one of the greatest electoral shockers in a loooong time, which is causing some epic premeltdowns from Sully (safe link to Newsbusters) and Olby.

And this song came to mind regarding the election, and how close we are to denting the Democrat stranglehold in Massachusett[e]s.

Fuck the Democrats. Fuck them with history.

And so it begins.

You only need to watch the first 18 seconds.
I have a friend who works for NOAA as a meteorologist.
He loves my emails. He and his co-workers have to be careful about expressing denialist sympathies but he can forward my emails with a "Look what this guy is saying now."

They're laughing their butts off over the East Anglia deal and all the rest of the great unraveling.
I have a feeling lots of weatherman are The ones who've looked at the data and thought, "Ummmmm, that doesn't make any freaking sense" but who had to keep their mouths shut.

Shut Up You!

Slow news day indeed, I didn't even get any email spam today.
In my Hotmail account.

In between watching Cowboys cry (ahhhhh) and the next game, I figured I'd see if anything was going on.
Apparently someone in NJ is mounting a campaign to recall Menendez, their senator, there's a provision in the NJ Constitution that allows for that.
So what's a good, Democratic Secretary of State (one of the ones supposed to uphold the State Constitution) to do?
...was denied that request, in a letter on January 11th which stated that the US Constitution does not provide for such a proceeding.

No, but the NJ one does. And they didn't get a ruling from a judge, just from the good, Dem apparatchiks who rule their subjects with an iron hand.
In other words, shut up you proles. We'll tell you when to vote and who to vote for.

I always find watching NJ, NY and Mass to be very entertaining.
It amazes me that their rulers can tell them to go screw over and over (Like the Toricelli deal, or Bloomberg and co. repealing term limits Teh Peepul voted for) and yet the still vote them in with ridiculous margins of victory. Michigan is the extreme, where they can totally destroy what was once one of the greatest economic engines the world had ever seen and still have one party rule, but Mass voters demand that the corrupt pols run the state well, Mass Dems have broken that compact.

Mass voters are getting fed up, I wonder if NJ ones will revolt against their political, intellectual and moral betters over this.

Watching the Dems freak out as their subjects revolt is another entertaining thing to do.
We might be absoutely fucked, but the last 4 or 5 years have been by far the most entertaining, news wise, in my 46 years and as it gets worse, it's getting funnier.
So we have that going for us.

Obama Campaigns for Scott Brown

At first I assumed that was an Obama look-alike reading Scott Brown's talking points for him in this commercial, talking about how he's going to stop cap and steal and the health care debacle and then, Obama, the Chicago politician, starts talking about outsiders going into Massachusett(e)s.

But it really is Obama.

Okay, that's funny.
Ace, where I saw this, said that we need to send Brown money to counter the Dems money, but with the Dems running ads for him, why bother?

*whew*

You fucking fisting fanatcis of fuckalicious frottage and fake fucking ignored the American People. You fucking told us to mind our own business and let our betters do everything for us, and yet, when you fucked it up worse than the Rams Season, you get pissy at us. When poll after poll tells you to stop what you are doing, you double down on the stupidity, hope voter fraud will bail you out, and call us racists. And when you don't like us pointing out how sick your appointees are, you call us bigots and try to silence us.

Well, fuck you with the history books you are playing for while covered in ice melt. Fuck you this November. And fuck you with the momentum of the sleeping giant you have awoken. Good luck with ramming Obamacare and other pieces of shit through. Good luck getting anything else passed, because it will probably be the last things your sorry asses do for a while. And good luck finding a new job in 2011.

Fuck off. And go to hell while you are at it.

If The RNC Screws Up This Opportunity, Then It Should Be Nuked From Orbit

I mean, when yet another poll comes out stating that Obama and his policies are not very popular, Jay Cost is calling for a major electoral thrashing next year, and Byron Dorgan apparently headed for defeat if the NRSC/RNC axis of stupidity can convince Gov. Hoeven to run against him, then any failures this year will not be tolerated. This could be the start of a rolling wave, to include a 2012 election victory.

Seriously, NRSC/RNC, if you don't start running ads right this fucking minute and nailing down candidates, then fuck you. Fuck you with irrelevance. Fuck you with the golden opportunity you squandered covered in botulism, hand lotion, and something else that really hurts.

Hey Political Elitists

Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you up your self important asses with a Heretic's Fork strapped to the end of an STD infected elephant's dick. Fuck you for ignoring the American people's collective voice in opposition to Obamacare. Fuck you for abandoning principles and printing money we don't have in order to secure more pork for your states. Fuck you for crippling medical innovation and research, all while reducing care for those who need it the most. Fuck you with the new tax code for what you want to make us pay for this in taxes. And fuck you in general for this flotsam and jetsam from the fuselage from the flying fuckplane of FAIL.

I know many of you flounder fondlers and fuckflappers have stated that you would rather lose your seats than see Obamacare not pass. I know many of you would rather win a Profile in Courage award or a mention in a history book than stop this ruinous legislation. And I know that many of you feel that you know better than us, and that we are just some uneducated rubes who will just accept whatever you force upon us.

Well, you know what? Do it! I fucking dare you. I fucking dare you to run in 2010 on this. Go ahead and hit the campaign trail next year in defense of this bill . Hit the trail saying this bill and cap & trade are for our own good, and that we should be thankful to you. Go ahead and try whatever tactics you will try. Go ahead, because you will fail. You will get defeated and sent to those lobbying jobs promised to you. And you will be in the minority as we try to undo the damage you fucking fuckity fucks of fuck forced jail house style upon this country.

So fuck off, political ruling class. Fuck off with the mop Obama wants us to grab.

****UPDATE**** Not that it'll matter to anybody but us, but Nelson will have violated his no tax pledge by supporting this bill.
