In a just world
As I read this link about Lech Walesa going to a Tea Party event I had a thought. In a just world this man would be a hero, feted wherever he went and talked about and revered at least as much as Nelson Mandela.
Alas, the thugocracy he ended was a brutal, commie one and for that he can never be forgiven by all the right people.

Along with Reagan and Thatcher, Lech Walesa is on the short list of the 20th centuries greatest people. Few have made more of a positive impact than they have.
Imagine the crowd if Lech Walesa spoke at the same Tea Party convention that Sarah Palin will be speaking at.

I was going to mock the left for continuing to push the Obamacare Disaster, despite yet another political pummeling, for it is worthy of mocking. But I can't. I cannot bring myself to pile onto something that has already been fucked worse than a barn full of capons. I can't, because what more can I add? What more can I add to a group of people who are so determined to push a massively unpopular shitpile of fuckyfuckfuckfuck laced with fuck despite every warning outside of their inner circle not to proceed?
But then, Alice sent me this. Go. Read. And report back.
Sorry, I may be a Buffy nerd but I have no idea how to do tinyurls.

5You don't need tiny url, just highlight the words for the link, hit the "link" button above the comment box, it looks like a chain link or the infinity sign, cutnpaste your url into the box that pops up, hit "insert" then "apply" then "ok"
Unfuckingbelievabile. But then, totally predictable. Leftism has become more and more of a religion and heretics are always who any militant religion attack the most. Unbelievers aren't a threat, people who used to believe but don't anymore are.
It's also about funny that the ones threatening the violence are also the ones who think of themselves as being pacifists.

At some point in the last few years, Andrew Sullivan stared into The Abyss, and The Abyss said "Quit looking at me like that. Seriously, man, you're creeping me the fuck out!"

You only need to watch the first 18 seconds. I have a friend who works for NOAA as a meteorologist. He loves my emails. He and his co-workers have to be careful about expressing denialist sympathies but he can forward my emails with a "Look what this guy is saying now."
They're laughing their butts off over the East Anglia deal and all the rest of the great unraveling. I have a feeling lots of weatherman are The ones who've looked at the data and thought, "Ummmmm, that doesn't make any freaking sense" but who had to keep their mouths shut.

Shut Up You!
Slow news day indeed, I didn't even get any email spam today. In my Hotmail account.
In between watching Cowboys cry (ahhhhh) and the next game, I figured I'd see if anything was going on. Apparently someone in NJ is mounting a campaign to recall Menendez, their senator, there's a provision in the NJ Constitution that allows for that. So what's a good, Democratic Secretary of State (one of the ones supposed to uphold the State Constitution) to do? ...was denied that request, in a letter on January 11th which stated that the US Constitution does not provide for such a proceeding.
No, but the NJ one does. And they didn't get a ruling from a judge, just from the good, Dem apparatchiks who rule their subjects with an iron hand. In other words, shut up you proles. We'll tell you when to vote and who to vote for.
I always find watching NJ, NY and Mass to be very entertaining. It amazes me that their rulers can tell them to go screw over and over (Like the Toricelli deal, or Bloomberg and co. repealing term limits Teh Peepul voted for) and yet the still vote them in with ridiculous margins of victory. Michigan is the extreme, where they can totally destroy what was once one of the greatest economic engines the world had ever seen and still have one party rule, but Mass voters demand that the corrupt pols run the state well, Mass Dems have broken that compact.
Mass voters are getting fed up, I wonder if NJ ones will revolt against their political, intellectual and moral betters over this.
Watching the Dems freak out as their subjects revolt is another entertaining thing to do. We might be absoutely fucked, but the last 4 or 5 years have been by far the most entertaining, news wise, in my 46 years and as it gets worse, it's getting funnier. So we have that going for us.
Dese Demoncrats in Michigan ur in fur a suprise come November. Jennifer's sorta purty, but she's got term limits an they can't find nobody to run instead.
Guvner Hoekstra an President Palin, got a nice ring to it ey.

That's about as funny as the time the Nevada state supreme court shot down an amendment to Nevada's state constitution because it was... unconstitutional. Good times, good times.

At first I assumed that was an Obama look-alike reading Scott Brown's
talking points for him in this commercial, talking about how he's going
to stop cap and steal and the health care debacle and then, Obama, the
Chicago politician, starts talking about outsiders going into
Massachusett(e)s.
But it really is Obama.
Okay, that's funny. Ace, where I saw this, said that we need to send Brown money to counter the Dems money, but with the Dems running ads for
him, why bother?

You fucking fisting fanatcis of fuckalicious frottage and fake fucking ignored the American People. You fucking told us to mind our own business and let our betters do everything for us, and yet, when you fucked it up worse than the Rams Season, you get pissy at us. When poll after poll tells you to stop what you are doing, you double down on the stupidity, hope voter fraud will bail you out, and call us racists. And when you don't like us pointing out how sick your appointees are, you call us bigots and try to silence us.
Well, fuck you with the history books you are playing for while covered in ice melt. Fuck you this November. And fuck you with the momentum of the sleeping giant you have awoken. Good luck with ramming Obamacare and other pieces of shit through. Good luck getting anything else passed, because it will probably be the last things your sorry asses do for a while. And good luck finding a new job in 2011.

I just saw the end of Obama's speech, wherein he blamed other people and then said, "We have to do better", which obviously translated to "They have to do better."
WTF is the President of the United Fucking States doing going on national TV and attacking the people who are trying to keep me alive?
You praise in public, castigate in private.
That's the first thing anybody in any position of authority should learn, much the less the most powerful executive in the fucking world.
Dumb fuck. The only reason he felt he needed to speak today (except to hear his own voice) is because he fucked up the initial reaction.
Since he's President Nothing, he should learn from Seinfeld, just pull a George and do the opposite of what he thinks he should do.
We are so fucked.

1. Remember that blog post or webpage just after the 08 election where all the Obama voters posted pics of themselves (often couples) holding signs saying cute things along the lines of "we won" and similar. Dig those pics out of the archive, but photoshop the signs so they say things along the lines of "My God, what were we thinking?!" or "I can't believe we were so f'in STUPID!" Or "I'm sooooo sorry!." Or "I just had no idea--yeah, I'm a dumbshit." You get the idea.
2. Start a pledge drive for all GOP candidates for congress: "I promise to a) introduce a bill to repeal Dem/socialist healthcare; b) to do everything in my power to get that POS repealed; and c) to start fresh on *real* reform, one step at a time." Then only support ones who take the pledge!
