Sen. Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY)

It looks like the 2nd-term Representative from upstate New York will be taking Hillary clinton's spot in the Senate.  The Albany Times-Union has a rundown of challengers for her newly competitive House seat

I think this is the best choice Gov. Paterson could have made, incidentally.  She has a 100% rating from the NRA and isn't for amnesty.  Or, at least, isn't as bad as the rest of the Dems.

1 Yeah, well, we all know where she'll fall when it actually comes time to vote, don't we? I mean, it doesn't even really matter which Dem gets in there as they'll all vote exactly as they're expected on pretty much any vote that matters.

2 Sounds more conservative than John McCain.

3 Yeah, but is she a public fister?

4 Yeah, but just like Heath Shuler, Pelosi will take this woman aside and tell her that, if she wants to be on good, relevant committees, and get invited to all the really cool parties, she will do as she is told.  In the party of tolerance and diversity, no dissent is allowed.
