1 I wish I could say this in unsurprising.  There's been a rampant problem at the local elementary school with young boys punching each other in the unmentionables.  The administration views it as a locker-room hazing sort of thing, and I'm inclined to say that the linked article is the same sort of thing (obviously older kids and much more severe) rather than overtly sexual.  By no means am I trying to excuse their actions by this.

What's more disturbing to me is that it went on for months before it was reported, including by the victim.
