1 Those pictures were great. They really give you the feeling of the moons just hanging out there in space.

4 Why aren't they in color? I mean, they're nice and sharp and all, but I didn't think they'd be in black and white.

I would assume it's for cost.

They're going to take pics of everything in every spectrum they can anyway and black and white pics are cheaper and require less bandwidth to transmit.

Plus, I bet they can be more detailed for less money and most of the pics are going to be black and white anyway (color images of the Moon don't look much different from b&w ones).

As an aside, I'm pretty sure I have proof they're fakes. Look at the pic titled "Saturn's polar region", I'm pretty sure that's just a pic of my ass.

I can provide one for those of you who don't believe me.

12 Cassini does take color images. Here's <a href="http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/images/saturn/saturn-022704-browse.jpg">one</a>. That was my desktop wallpaper for a while. And <a href="http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia/images/index.cfm">here</a> is the official Cassini site with lots o' images.
