3 another thing.  Al and Tipper WERE character references (not inspirations) for Love Story.  There is a major difference, I know at list 5 other people who were character references in other books personaly.

One of my friends, (he's kinda horrible in how he describes relationships) said "after a while, you are just amazed that she is still there, after what a bastard you have been, and no matter how hideous she might look, she's beautiful."  (he kinda talks like me sometimes)  "and then you don't think about yourself, and focus on what she thinks because you have a history, and you have kids, and her parents have become your parents, her nephews and nieces have become your nephews and nieces, so who gives a damn about that other stuff?  You've been there from the beginning."

First i ever heard of Tipper Gore was in Bloom County.
