Another Philly Officer murdered
Weak. I'd note that Philly mayor Nutter is slashing the Philly Police Department budget too, along with keeping the Philly PD from taking back control of the streets and cracking down on violent career criminals like this vermin.

I saw a link here that said they were closing, but it looked to me as if they were just selling off certain, really tasteless, shirts that they wouldn't sell anymore.

This seems to be an ongoing issue in Philly. I was stationed at the Naval Hospital from 90 to 93 and they were cutting Police budget then too. It was that issue that lead to a revival of Frank Rizzo's political career. He would have been Mayor again if he hadn't dropped dead.
