Obama says that we're all fucked if we don't give him his massive aid package. 

I say give it to him.  After he lays on hands and the economy doesn't suddenly have 3 million more jobs (I'm not sure I funderstand* how the government can create jobs but I'm willing to eat popcorn while they test the theory) we can finally, solidly peg it all on this slimy weasel.

Of course, spending another 800 billion dollars is a terrible thing but I'm not entirely sure it'll make a difference at this point for two reasons:

A) If the Democrats don't spend the money on this they'll spend it on something else later.  Perhaps running this type of deficit out of the gate will force them to be more fiscally responsible later for political reason**.

B) After spending a hundrety trillion dollars already what's another 800 billion dollars?  I guess if we keep spending 800 billion dollars, sooner or later that turns into real money.

Anyway, he is going to keep trying to hang himself and every obstruction we provide to their eventual (I'd say inevitable) success on passing whatever legislation they want only gives them an excuse for their policy's eventual failure. 

Of course, I'm cynical today.

* - It's like understanding but fun!!!

** I'm pretty sure there isn't a Democrat born that supported being fiscally responsible for any reasons not political.
