It appears that Gavin Newsom is none too pleased with Obama about gay marriage.

Money shot quote "There is some belief that he actually doesn’t believe in same-sex marriage".

No!  No!  You mean some people may think that Obama doesn't believe in gay marriage just because Obama said he doesn't believe in gay marriage?  Look, I know, I know, everything Obama says comes with an expiration date but this one is pretty solid. 

I've had it out (so to speak) with queer friends about how the hell can they claim at one and the same time that opposition to gay marriage is per se homophobia and then rasp rhapsodic over Obama.  Generally, I get the "oh he doesn't really mean it" response.  Inquiries as to whether or not it isn't more horrifying to take a stand against gay marriage strictly for political gain are usually met with a variant of shut up, he argued. 

Gavin, I can call you Gavin, right, guess what?  There are some of we homocons who knew all along that Obama is full of complete and utter bullshit about what Gay, Inc. is determined to call gay rights.  He.  Doesn't.  Mean.  It.  He never ever ever did.  He's lying, lying right to your face. 

I'll admit, I don't feel sorry at all for those who start shrieking about how Obama is abandoning the gays.  Dude, all y'all were the ones who thought he was on your side in the first place.  He isn't, he's not going to be and you've opened your mouth and removed all doubt by saying otherwise.

Off with you, Gavin, have fun with the rest of your life.  I'm sorry that you didn't realize that Obama just wasn't that into what you thought he was.  Sucks to be you.
