FYNQ

Just when I thought the Polanski stuff couldn't make me more furious, there's this:

"My personal thoughts are let the guy go," said Peg Yorkin, founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation. "It's bad a person was raped. But that was so many years ago. The guy has been through so much in his life. It's crazy to arrest him now. Let it go. The government could spend its money on other things."

from here

Oh where to begin.  A woman who helped found an organization that claims to speak for the feminist majority is perfectly fine with letting Polanski get away with raping and sodomizing a 13 year old girl after drugging her because, my stars and garters, it's been so long and he's suffered so much.  I was completely unaware that the feminist position is that raping and drugging a 13 year old is okay if enough time has passed and if the pervert who did it suffered.

What.  The.  Fuck.  Is.  Wrong.  With.  People.  How is this even controversial at all?  He did it.  He admitted he did it.  There's no question that he did it.  The fact that he turned tail and fled makes it even worse.  I don't get it.  I really truly don't.  I'm thrilled to be a mouth breathing flyover rube if it means I lack the sophistication to appreciate the moral nuances involved in forgiving child rape.

Oh and Ms. Yorkin?  The reason that strong, intelligent, professional, accomplished women like myself refuse to call ourselves feminists is because cunts like you give feminism a bad name.  No, I will not apologize for using the c word.  Any woman who supports a child rapist is a cunt.  End of story.

Since everyone is focusing on the moral idiots who are supporting Polanski, I would like to start a non-exhaustive list of those who approve of his arrest:

Jewel
Kevin Smith
Bo Zenga
Luc Besson

I know there's a ton of others but those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I must say, that petition list is going to give MP a ton of targets for facecocking opportunities.

I think that is the most appropriate use of the word cunt ever.  This whole thing is so stupidly beyond me.  Raping a 13-year old girl is never, ever excusable, and why everybody seems to suddenly be behind it confuses the hell out of me.

I've been hearing the "it's ok now because it was so long ago and he has suffered so much"

How exactly has this guy suffered?  He's been free to walk the earth (relatively) for the past how many years? The man won an Oscar!!! Apparently I must have skimmed over the Circle of Hell in which people recieve their profession's highest accolade as a form of eternal punishment.

3 I wish I could say that I was shocked about the way that some people are treating this, but I'm really not.

4 Maybe we should stop hunting for Nazis involved with concentration camps too.  I mean, it was so long ago and they've been through a lot, with changing their identities and moving from country to country.  It's crazy to arrest them now.  Let it go.  The government could spend its money on other things.

5 These people are so out touch with reality even the rank and file nutroots are disgusted with them.

6 If that twit, Yorkin, could think critically she would see that under her "logic" any rape should be given a pass because "the government could spend its money on other things." And in 10 years who's really going to care? See, "...that was so many years ago." As long as time has passed it doesn't matter anymore. You know that whole Manson thing is kind of silly, it was so many years ago. They should let him go, he's been through so much and we could spend our money incarcerating someone else.

And yet, this scrunt probably ascribes to the belief that marital relations=rape.

8 My husband brought up the Nazi angle when he and I were discussing the idiotic idea that it was SO LONG AGO and why not just let it go.

The first thought I had was the Catholic priests scandal from a few years back.

How many of those men were abused at ages younger than 14? Yet, no one batted an eye when decades later, priests were charged with the crime.

If this douche wasn't a "celebrity" no one would be suggesting that he not be prosecuted.

Really, you can't make this stuff up!

olita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta.
Okay, maybe you can.

11 That's the hook, and it remains throughout the books whole prose.

Lots of pages of creepy in that book.  Beautifully written, and terrifyingly descriptive.

You will never shower so much while still feeling dirty after reading that book.

Well, unless your childhood was stolen by a 43 year old, who anally raped you.  I imagine that might give you a sense of suffering and psychological filth.

But What 13 year old has ever been anally raped by a 43 year old?  That's just crazy talk.

BRB, apparently I now have a lot of e-mails, can't imagine what that's about.

And It's not like He KILLED anyone, I mean, he f---ed young girls, it was about f----ing young girls, everyone wants to f--- young girls (and have them commit atrocious murders on your orders.) I mean,. . . .Judges want to plug nickel young girls in the torpedo tube.

Just ignorant.

18 Wait?  Taking it in the pooper when you're 13 is illegal?  I really need a new legal consultant.

20 One more expression of the right wing religion based oppressors forcing their values on others.

It's like Raping a 13 year old in the smelly place, you just don't force yourself on others.

hold I'm getting a call.

(what?  Oh, so she was 13?  and she was raped in the squeaker?  and she did say no, okay hold on.)

It's like Asking Obama to not be black, you racists!!!

23 Hey, go easy on the guy.  It's not like he beat dogs or anything.  If he did that, he might oughta serve 19 months instead of 42 days.
