Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out

It looks like we might be waving buh-bye to one of the douchebags most responsible for this mess we're in as early as next November:

A Quinnipiac University poll shows that Sen. Chris Dodd's approval rating is sinking like a rock. It's so low, anybody who has expressed an interest in challenging him could win.

The QU poll also found that Dodd, a thirty year veteran of the U.S. Senate from Connecticut, would be beat by former 2nd District Republican Congressman Rob Simmons, 50 percent to 34 percent. Republican State Senator Sam Caligiuri, who is largely unknown outside the city of Waterbury, is ahead 41 percent to 37 percent. Former Ambassador Tom Foley, a Greenwich businessman with virtually no name recognition, also beats Dodd 43 percent to 35 percent.

The poll also found that only 32 percent of respondents found Dodd trustworthy. Gee, now there's a shocker.

I just can't wait for the GOP to find a way to completely bungle this golden opportunity.
