Bob "Hey, My Dad Was Governor!" Casey knows who his constituents are

He's blowing the whistle on the Obamacare's proposed cuts to Medicare,

Should Congress scale back the program, “We’re not going to be able to say ‘if you like what you have, you can keep it,’” said Senator Bob Casey, a Pennsylvania Democrat. “And that basic commitment that a lot of us around here have made will be called into question.”

Casey knows that if they pass something that lays a finger on Medicare, he is going to be destroyed when he faces his next election.  PA has one of the oldest populations in the US, we're usually ranked second or third, Florida is obviously the oldest.  Senior benefits are definitely a third rail issue in PA, you try and do anything with something like Social Security or Medicare, you will be demagogued, and destroyed at the ballot box. 

I'll be curious to see what Casey does, part of me thinks he's probably too spineless to stand up to the Democrat leadership and vote down Obamacare, on the flipside he knows that this Senate gig is the end of the line for his political career, and part of me thinks he's too spineless to destroy that career.  At this stage he's probably hoping someone else with a D after their name will step up and shut this down.
