Wow, Congressman, you must have though that by having a press conference with only reporters around, you would have 100% positive coverage. Wrong as usual, Captain Dumbshit.
Send as many thugs as you wish, Russ. We'll stand firm.

Not very well. Note the dripping bias and contempt in this article.
I don't really have the time to go through this line by line, but a few things stuck out:
The only personalized story of an arrestee comes from a pro-Obamacare person who worked with a TX State House candidate and his friend. The woman, at least, blamed the "tea baggers" (natch). Other than that, no mention of whether the other folks arrested were for or against Obamacare is made. Not that it would have been difficult, since the SEIU folks were wearing matching shirts. You can bet your ass that if the arrested were Tea Party types, it would carry the lede.
Scant mention appeared about who beat up the black anti-Obama guy. I wonder why.
The article mentions that on multiple ocassions, Carnahan was interrupted. But by whom? And what side of the Obamacare argument did they take?
Nowhere in the article are the unions or ACORN mentioned.
I may have missed some. All in all, the local coverage has completely glossed over the role the union thugs played. Color me shocked.
Dana Loesch, one of the organizers of the STL Tea Parties, is catching some heat this morning from O-bots. She doesn't back down. Here is her twitter page.

Mr. Pearlstein: Let me join my voice to the chorus of those who are condemning you for your lame, childish and, bluntly, intellectually pathetic equation of those who are against the Democrat's version of health care reform with terrorists. Please do not further insult my intelligence or yours by claiming that adding the modifier of "political" in front of terrorist in any way diminishes your words. You admitted that you were crossing the line. Congratulations, sir, you have managed to go so far past it that I highly doubt it is visible from where you are.
In case you have forgotten, and all evidence indicates that you have, this country has a First Amendment. This allows you to open your mouth and remove all doubt by calling your political opposition terrorists. This also permits your political opposition to speak their minds. If you don't like it? I suggest that you consider the alternatives. They are none too appealing.
The worst part of what you chose to do is the manner in which you are spitting on the graves of the actual victims of terrorism. A terrorist is one who flies a plane into a building. A terrorist is one who cuts the head off Daniel Pearl. A terrorist is one who shoots up a school of girls who have the audacity to want to read. A terrorist is one who walks into a nightclub and blows the patrons to smithereens.
A terrorist is not one who holds up a sign, attends a meeting or even, heaven forfend, yells at an elected official. To equate the two, in any way, is to prove that paucity of your character and soul.
You stated: "Health reform is a test of whether this country can function once again as a civil society --"
It is beyond rich for you to make any attempt to portray yourself as on the side of a civil society when you are guilty of reaching Olympian heights of incivility yourself.
I would like to congratulate you for insuring that any legitimate points you may have are now utterly destroyed by the fact that you think your opposition are monsters. In the immortal words from Billy Madison "I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul". Oh, to clarify, since you believe I am a terrorist and terrorists do kill people, that is not a death threat. It is simply a snarky quote for an Adam Sandler movie. Insults do not equal violence. Apparently you need a reminder of that.
One further point, congratulations as well on driving traffic to the WaPo site. A more cynical person would ponder whether or not you chose such inflammatory rhetoric simply to do so. Unfortunately, I believe that you are sincere in your statements. That does not rebound well to your favor.
I will leave you with this suggestion. If you want a civil debate, attempt to show civility yourself. Otherwise? You will get the level of discourse you created.
Below is what I really think:

There are two prizes in the battle at hand - the national press narrative and Congress' support. We have to win the press war by making it clear that shouts of "socialized medicine" and "government health care" are from a mob on the fringe of American politics. And we need to be sure that wavering Democrats in Congress see that there is strong popular support for health care reform.I thought facts were facts, no matter who reported them or how they were reported? I was under the impression that the media was fair and balanced, except that evil Fox News. If that's the case, why is there need to win the press narrative?
Keep telling yourselves it's a fringe that doesn't want nationalized healthcare, lefties. Keep doing that because it marginalizes the everyman, and once the everyman has been pushed to the fringe on one issue, he's going to start wondering what else you were wrong about.
FireDogLake posted a link to a site that will be posting town hall meetings. These meetings are where our voices will most need to be heard, as they have already come to the attention of the left. It looks like the site is just starting to build a database.
When attending the town hall meetings, be sure to have a camera handy. The unions are organizing to keep the voices against Obamacare from being heard. Yet they're accusing the right of mob organization...

The Orcutt Police Nunchaku that Sonia Sotomayor is (are?) so heavily opposed to was (were?) invented by a Colorado police officer. An interview with the police officer and a demonstration video is available at Westword.
A paraphrase of Stoaty's definition of torture is in order here:
Torture is any experience so horrible that no-one would consider trying it out simply for the purpose of writing a Vanity Fair Westword article about what it’s like.Personally, I'm in favor of just shooting the perps dead. Then we wouldn't have to deal with sticky issues like whether OPNs are excessive force.

Seriously. Fuck. You.
You want to discuss coordination? How about this, let's discuss the coordination of the use of the terms "fascist", "brownshirts" and "Birther" comments by the DNC, the MSM and various Leftist commentators. How about that for some investigation?
This comparison of anger regarding the town hall meetings is gobsmacking vile. I am sick (and tired) of being told that I'm a motherfucking fascist by those who have the audacity to also believe that I. Don't. Exist.
I am so desperately sorry, you pathetic little shitweasels, that my fucking existence disproves all of your theories. I'm here. I'm queer. And not only to I not want any more bears, I don't want to be called a fucking jackbooted thug because I WILL NOT let my body be subject to government control.
I just flipped out on someone in my office about this and he claims it's perfectly acceptable to compare the tea party protestors to Birthers. As I told him, I have nothing to say to him. I simply don't.
Bye bye America. It was nice while it lasted.

Chainsaw. Sideways. Fuck. Some assembly required. Oh, wait, I'm sure one of the Obamabots is now going to report me for making a physical threat to Mr. Hill. Mr. Hill, since it is apparent that you are incapable of comprehending that those in your opposition are not a. Nazis and b. your enemy, let me clarify. It's called hyperbole. Look it up. I'll wait, I know those big words in that big old heavy book can be hard to comprehend. Particularly for a fucking Volunteers fan.
Honestly, is there a part of the DNC et al that wants there to be a total fracture of this country? Because I'm not the one who is saying that people need to get in the faces of those who disagree. I'm not the one calling for this to turn into East Germany with neighbors ratting out on neighbors. For the most part, I haven't thought those on the opposite side were my enemies. Fuck. That. Shit. I will now.
So these are the rules now. No courtesy. No decorum. No human decency at all. Got it.
A whirlwind's coming strong. And I am going to fucking ride my broom through it cackling when the Usual Suspects freak out. Fuck. Them. I can play like this. I really really can. Bring it, bitches.

"So all of this is a diversion {A diversion? You think the people who are protesting Obamacare really want it but are using the town hall protests as a front? Seriously?! -ed.} by the people who want to frankly hurt President Obama {Don't leave yourself out of the list of people we want to take down with this, mkay? -ed}. You've heard the Republican Senator Jim Demint say it, let's make this Obama's Waterloo, let's break him {did it ever even occur to that vacuous brain of yours that if Obama wasn't trying to break the American economy, no one would be trying to break him? -ed.}, that's what this is about, and by the way I saw some of the clips of people storming the town hall meetings the last time I saw well-dressed people {I am so buying an evening gown for the next protest. Assuming I have enough money to buy an evening gown once I'm done paying my taxes. -ed.} doing this was when Al Gore asked me to go down to Florida when they were recounting the ballots {and you rightfully lost that one too, remember? -ed.} and I was confronted with the same type of people they were there screaming and yelling go back to California go back get out of here and all the rest of it until I finally looked at them and I said you know what your hero Ronald Reagan was from California you should show a little respect {Jerry Garcia and Charles Manson were both from California and I suspect you share more ideology with them than with Ronald Reagan. Not to mention that if we're not supposed to be judging people based on their race or heritage then honoring them based on what state they live in rather than their ideas and personal merit is a load of complete and utter horseshit. -ed.} and then they quieted down so this is just all organized just go up on the website Chris you in the media have to take a look at what's going on here {I'm so glad that a Senator feels she has the authority to order the media to start an investigation. Confirms what we've suspected for a while. -ed.} this is all planned it's to hurt our president and it's to change the Congress. {Change Congress? OH NOES! -ed.}"

Classy, eh? I'll just note, as the Weekly Standard does in this very good take-down of the earlier DNC press release, that the term they use in this ad to describe protesters is the same word they use to describe terrorists: extremists. Also, it appears that no one has given any legitimate questions about ObamaCare, but rather are all focused on Birtherism. That's odd.
P.S. - If, as stated in the video, you rabid right-wingers are being funded by rich, evil health care executives...umm...how can I get in on that? I need dollas.

Nice to Russ Carnahan running from his voters.
And you know what's better? Shitstain Congressfucks better realize that their voters want and demand to *gasp* hold them accountable for their votes, including holding townhalls.
According to the {CNN} poll conducted between July 31 and August 3, seventy-one percent of respondents would attend “a town hall meeting or some other public forum where voters get a chance to speak†to “tell [their] member of Congress what [they] think about health care.†Forty-one percent say they are “very likely†to do so.
Overall, President Barack Obama’s health care plan is favored by fifty-percent of those polled. Forty-five percent have an unfavorable opinion of his plan. Nevertheless, there appears to be more intensity among those who oppose the plan. Thirty-three percent oppose it strongly while only twenty-three percent support it strongly.
“Nearly half of those who oppose the Obama plan say they are more likely to attend town hall meetings to express their views on health care; only 37 percent of those who support Obama’s plan are very likely to attend a public forum on that issue,†said CNN’s Polling Director Keating Holland.
Yeah. It's because those of us who work our fucking asses off and pay for the dregs of society to mooch off of me might, just might want to have a say in how my money will be spent. Is that too fucking much to ask, you spicy shrimp of fucksticks, especially since the same people you avoid are the ones who vote your sorry, collective asses into office?
Let me speak slowly and in pictures, since Asshole-Dickbag isn't my native dialect, but here is what I think of your assholery:

Seriously, Congressman, at what point are you just goingto give up?
A press conference to tout his support of the "Cash for Clunkers" program appeared to backfire on Congressman Russ Carnahan Tuesday.> > He was outnumbered 50-to-1 by protestors who were kept at bay by employees of McMahon Ford in south city.
> > Protestors expressed their anger that the "clunkers" turned in for more fuel-efficient cars are immediately scrapped, whether or not they could still be used by low-income residents.
Smell the FAIL, Russ, smell the fucking FAIL!

A recent Rasmussen tracking poll showed American Voters getting a paltry 23% approval rating from members of Congress and the Executive branch, and only 17% from members of the media. The toxic atmosphere caused by out-of-touch voters has been especially corrosive for Washington's youngest legislative aides and undersecretaries, many of whom now express outright cynicism and contempt for our system of unelected and unaccountable citizens. The system is truly broken, my friends.

Well, if you consider Michigan to be Third World.
And you know what the best part is? Michigan seems set to double down on the stupidity. Per Kim, who lives there and has to deal with this silliness:
Raise the state's minimum wage to $10 an hour for all workers, which would require businesses to lay off additional employees in order to adapt to their increasing payrolls. Place a moratorium on all foreclosures for one year, which will shrink the already tight credit markets. This is especially bad for Michigan because of the large surplus of homes for sale. Require power companies to reduce rates by 20 percent, cutting into company profits and forcing more layoffs. Require all employers to provide health care for their employees, which will cause even more lay offs in order to fund this new mandate. Increase unemployment benefits and then extend them for six months. Unfortunately, all the layoffs mean more people will collect unemployment, thus leaving fewer taxpayers to fund the increasing demand for social services.
Yeah, that should work well. This is what happens when a welfare society keeps voting in the people who drive away prosperity.

I googled "Things that make hippies cry" to try to round out the list, and the only thing that came up was the video. Apparently Chimpy McHitlerBurton and Darth Cheney just aren't evil enough.
Update: I almost feel kinda bad, as the exact phrase "Things that make hippies cry" only comes up on one webpage. That's probably gonna change in the next 24 hours.
