It seems that Sen. John McCain is going to meet with the president of the Log Cabin Republicans soon. 

I think this is bad for John McCain, which is unfortunate, but good for the GOP in general.  There are plenty of gay Republicans out there - moderate ones, libertarian ones, conservative ones, some who don't even agree with gay marriage - and I don't think ignoring that fact is particuarly helpful. 

The only thing that bothers me about this is that the LCR, organizationally speaking, tends to be of the thought that the reason the GOP loses elections is because they aren't moderate enough.  But, then again, if we're going to complain about people adehring to that train of thought, we should start with the head of the NRCC, not the Log Cabin Republicans.
