One of each of
these albums.
Except the two I already own. I'll leave it up to youse guys to speculate which ones those are.

Believe it or not, Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) has a really really good voice. I know because my mother had that album.
Of all the albums on that list the one I'd like to hear most is the Tull album. I simply can't imagine what them doing Christmas music would sound like. Now I have my mind going on Aqualung with an attempt to insert Christmas lyrics (sitting on a park bench ... eyeing little elves with bad intent).
Oh, and thanks again for that link to Perpetual Kid ... My SO's kids had a blast going through that site picking out stocking stuffers for their mom. Thanks also to alex for the Setzer Xmas vid, as we picked up an awesome BSO christmas collection CD.

I'm gonna guess N*Sync and the one with the half-naked gay man.

Wrong on both counts, Vinty.
Dave, one of the albums I have is the Jethro Tull album, which I got more because my father was a huge Jethro Tull fan when I was growing up (my parents took me to a Tull concert when I was 2 - inb4 that explains so much about me) and I had the same bizarre curiosity about it as you have. It doesn't sound much at all like Aqualung. You can tell it's Tull if you're familiar with their sound, especially the flute work, but it's not a hard rock album. It's not one I break out when I'm feeling Christmasy, either, though.
If you liked the Setzer Christmas music, you might want to give a listen to the Christmas album Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has out.

I figured you had A Rosie Christmas and Another Rosie Christmas.
I want the Tull one.

I'm sort of intrigued by the Tull album. I'm more of a Zeppelin guy, myself, but I like more than a few JT tracks.
I was hoping Amazon would have preview clips, but no such luck.

So who are the 4 percent?
I was listening to Hannity's Man on the Street last Friday and chuckling over the repeated dead air when the victims were asked, "Do you know what a Blagovejich is?" I was guessing that these people lived nowhere near Illinois, especially since the only person who answered correctly was admittedly drunk.
I think I was wrong. Most polls had the governor's approval rating in the low two digits, from 16% to about 25%, but a recent survey had Blago (as the Illinois public has grown to call him, unflatteringly) at an incredible subbasement-level 4%.
So who the hell are the four percent of Illinoisans that still approve of Blago? Is "He's a four-percenter" going to be the new label for someone who is so far into idjitdom that it's beyond even moron comprehension? Have they started polling lockdown dementia patients after sunset for approval ratings? Instead of asking, "WTF is wrong with Wisconsin?", will we soon be asking, "WTF is wrong with four percent of Illinois?"

Given how corrupt Illinois is, I assume those 4% were people who had bribed him in some way, or benefitted by bribes. I'm actually quite pleased by 4%, as I would have thought it would be higher.

He's a Democrat, and those 4% are the die-hard partisan hacks who would never utter a negative word against a Democratic politician without express permission from the party appratchiks even if he showed up at the front door, shot their entire family dead, and defecated on the bodies before leaving.
They would simply withhold comment until the party talking points came out the following day....

Answering the question, "Can a full-back tattoo with chicks, swords, a monkey, a bomb and an automatic weapon still be gay?" with a resounding "Yes it can!!!"

Veeshir, I think I've seen that tattoo before in a discussion about bad tattoos.

All terrorists should be allowed to retain their dignity
At least as much as
these guys.
Possibly the only thing more suiting their station in life would be to cover their faces with a pair of Excitable Andi's skidmarked underwear.

In my Christmas stocking I want, part 5
Nativity ducks.
A word of warning, this might be the least offensive item at MissPoppy's if you're very religious at all. If you're very not religious, and have a smoker in your life that you're struggling to find a gift for,
this might be appropriate.
Oh, and did I mention they offer free APO/FPO shipping for the holidays?

My niece went to Australia for a semester (her school has a program) and she brought me back a freaking T-shirt.
Man was I mad. I'm weird Uncle Mike, I've been getting them weird gifts their whole lives and she goes and doesn't get me a kangaroo scrotum anything.
That's just rude. I've been giving her a hard time since she got back, now I'm angry all over again.

Er, well thanks ... I think. That would certainly put an ... unusual ... look on my SO's face if I put it in her stocking. The questions from the kids would be interesting as well.

Veeshir, maybe you can just beat her up and take the $25 to buy one.

Now that there's a thought Alice H.
But I can't hit a girl. Especially one whose mother can kick my ass.
I'm actually thinking of getting one of those for her. That'll learn her.

Best Christmas music review EVAH
"Baruppapumpum" is not a word in English OR in Aramaic, though it does sound a bit like the sound a glock makes when firing a burst over the heads of unruly Palestinians at a West Bank checkpoint.
More in the same vein
here.
