Does Harrisburg, PA Really Know What They Are Facing When They Want To Take On The NRA?

I dunno, but they will soon find out.

All of this stems from a bullshit law that Harrisburg passed regarding reporting of lost or stolen guns. The law is a clusterfuck on it's own merit, but what really pisses me off is the arrogance of City Council President Linda Thompson.

"I'm not threatened by the NRA," said City Council President Linda Thompson. "I want the NRA to know I support our law-abiding gun owners, but they've got to get off the special interest state of mind. This is about human interest."

No, you stupid fucking hag, this is about the 2nd Amendment and the laws of the land. And you will soon find out what it feels like to receive the pimp hand of the Constitution.

And as for "human interest", that is just fucking idiotic to eleven. I guess I just need to keep pounding into the skulls full of mush that when you hassle and restrict legal gun owners, only criminals will have guns. England is a prime example of that, where knife and gun crimes have skyrocketed since those implements have been proscribed.

Gah! Folks, this is why every election matters. Sitting out at any level only leads to this kind of stupidity.

Senator Specter suggests GOP responsible for Jack Kemp's death

Were it not for those evil Republicans who gave him all those campaign contributions for the last 40+ years, Specter could have formulated and passed the necessary health care policies that would have saved Jack Kemp's life. All those contributions held him back, naturally. Therefore, it's all the GOP's fault. Shame all you Republicans who campaigned for him to win in Pennsylvania over and over. I hope you can live with yourself.

And of course, those failed health care policies are what prevented him from surviving cancer. Oh wait, he did survive cancer under those failed GOP health care policies. Nevermind.

So, the question becomes

...are they dumb/arrogant enough to try and silence fair use by a prosecutor?  I'll be interested to see what happens.

Obama to go on American Idol?

I believe it.  It probably reminds him of the presidential campaign, where voters picked a President based on how they looked and what they sounded like, even if it was devoid of content.

Fingers crossed, though.  Most AI winners end up being massive failures.

Pluggy Joe is going abroad

"The Sheriff" is going to visit the Balkans later this month.  There's no word in the article on whether or not he'll be flying there in an airplane, though.
