I can't wait to see the news story on this one

NRSC chair Sen. John Ensign has apparently* said that Gov. Palin is "not experienced" enough to be President.

Good thing shes running for Vice President, I guess.

But thanks for trying to torpedo the ticket anyway, John.

*It's just a Twitter update, not a news story.

Why Michael Steele should never be RNC Chair, or anything else for that matter

He's calling for a David Cameron/Tory style rebuilding of the GOP.  NO, WRONG, and that is why it is necessary to keep Steele away from a GOP leadership position.

We've been following the UK's death spiral into Nanny Fascism for a good while here, and anyone who has read this crapblog on a regular basis knows damned well that the last thing we need to ever fucking do is emulate anything coming out of Britain right now.  The Thatcherites lost to the squishes in the Conservative Party, as a result, Britain is rapidly turning into a Labour-run Orwellian dystopia, with the Tories giving chase in Labour's dust shouting, "Hey!  We're for nanny authoritarian governance too!"

We cannot let that happen to the GOP, lest we experience that same Orwellian nightmare here.  A third party is just running away from the problem.  Somehow, we're going to have to battle the RINOs, squishes, crooks and quisling punditry for control of the party while holding off the left and media.

Embrace the suck.

Ridge to McCain: Dude, shoulda totally picked me

He's basically saying he'd have carried PA.  Let me assure you, that's bullshit, and that's not even counting the effect that having a huge number of pro-life people stay home nationally, just like picking Romney would have caused a huge number of pro-2nd people and evangelicals to stay home, and Huck would have caused small government people to stay home.  Lieberman would have made the entire conservative coalition walk.

No, McCain wouldn't make up the deficit of conservatives with centrists, independents and moderate Democrats, either, besides, moderates, independents and Democrats don't usually volunteer or donate.  Palin was the only choice McCain had, with the possible exception of Cantor, that wouldn't have caused a mass walkout by large numbers of conservatives.

No, I have idea why the hell I'm suddenly compelled to write so many posts tonight...

Hmmmm.....yeah, I don't get that vibe off Palin

It would almost be worth McCain losing, just to keep the people saying this crap about Gov. Palin from having good jobs:

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.
She doesn't trust anyone in her family?  Really?  That's the line you're going to use to get people to believe your story?

"FINAL NOTICE"

God the GOP leadership is retarded.  Remember this bit of GOP fundraising genius from Joe?  Yeah, the "FINAL NOTICE" just came in.  Oh, and notice McCain's FAIL...that Campaign Finance Reform Bill wasn't as smart as you thought it was, now was it, Maverick?

No matter the result in November, the GOP leadership needs to be replaced.

What does this say?

The RNC is looking at spending $5 million to bolster our worthless Senators.  What does this say?  Does it say that they think McCain can't win it, or that he doesn't need their help?  It certainly says that the GOPers in the Senate are largely worthless, and they're in trouble because of their worthlessness.  I'm still deciding.

The ad John McCain needs to make

I think I've blogged about this before, but one of the more shocking things that Barack Obama has said is that he would be willing to grant drivers licenses to illegal aliens.  Here it is:

I understand that it would be hard to parse that rambling answer into a commercial-friendly sound bite, but it could at least be cited.  Perhaps this would be a good intro to an ad on Obama and ACORN.  They're committing voter fraud pretty well on their own, but how much easier will it be when illegal immigrants have driver's licenses?

As much as I would hate hearing McCain present his immigration plans, he could at least highlight this and say "Even I'm not this bad" or something similar.

It has possibilities, but I think it would require a competent campaign.
