All you California folks
Stay safe out there, sounds like Oakland is gonna see some rioting, who knows where it'll go, but let's hope it's contained, broken up quick and doesn't spread.
Don't think I have anything to worry about in the greater SD area. I figure if they make it as far as Napa Valley, all that free wine should stop 'em dead in their tracks.
As for Oakland, burn baby burn (doesn't seem to bad to me based on this video, mostly just a fashion crime):

Broadway; one outside Telly's Coffee read: “You can’t shoot us all.”

Tony Coleman, with the Oakland General Assembly for Justice for Oscar

the verdict: "We want some more justice," he cried, urging onlookers to

Happy Father's Day
I know, it's a terrifying thought, but indeed some morons have reproduced...congrats on that...I guess.
Cheers to all the moron dads out there, it's a tough job, but someone has to raise the next generation of Val-U-Rite swilling, gun-toting, hobo-slaying wingnuts, and there's none better than you to do it.

Sucks when the kids grow up, get married, and have kids. They want to do stuff with their own kids. Went to Marine World today. Without us, the ungrateful wretches! Just kidding. Somewhat.

Read my latest scribblings at RWNGo read it, I command you. Or something. I guess. Or sit around and wait for alex's next hotassery post, that works too.
Well, Ace posted about it today, which is cool, but did we get any link-love. Noooooo!!! Which tells me that Ace is dissing us and not reading DPUD. Should we declare war?

Ace relies almost entirely on reader tips, he'd do nothing but read and not write if he had to find stories himself, and he does occasionally read here.

What the hell is with all this productivity from morons lately?
Must be the economy, gotta get that Val-U-Rite money somewhere...two of you go and write novels, and obviously S. Weasel has her online store. I was gonna joke and say, what next, the Moron-in-Chief opening a t-shirt shop and selling The Guys Got Shirts shirts...go figure.

What?
Just saying.

3rd Party?
In a longer post, Ace opines about how a possible third party candidate could help Obama win in 2012.
If the GOP runs someone like Mitt, "Ask me about my socialist health care plan" Romney or Mike "Christian socialist" (did I mention Christian?) Huckabee, he's exactly right.
If they run someone who's not just Dem-lite, then no.
They need someone who's against all the budget-busting and gov't overreach we've seen this decade. I'm starting to root for a Teh Fred/Sarah Palin ticket.
And watching Minitru ignore the chance for a "historic first" of a woman VP will be darn funny.

The glitterati and literati got all wee-wee'd up this autumn over a Swedish Hollywood Housewife with an irresistible name. Anna Anka caused a hullabaloo by suggesting that being a housewife might be a worthy goal for Swedish women.
The gasps of horror echoed from the corridors of think tanks to the editorial offices of daily papers. "She praises Islamist ideals," lamented the Social Democratic Women's Federation. But she had her fans, too. One pundit wrote that the best formula for a happy marriage is a working husband with a genuine housewife
When I first arrived in Stockholm and had not yet found work, Swedish women would ask me if I intended to be a "lyxhustru" (luxury housewife). The hostility in their tone was easy to detect.
"They're just jealous," sniffed Ms. Anka, at the reaction she provoked by extolling the virtues of being a trophy wife rather than a feminist soldier in the workforce.
I love the assumption that being "just a housewife" is a bad thing. I'm certainly not a housewife - my husband tells me that I have the maternal instincts of a lizard, and he's not far off base with that. However, my husband is a house husband, and I have more respect for what he does every day than I could even say. 'Course, I hate cleaning, I hate doing dishes, and, while I love my daughter to pieces, I don't have the energy to deal with her for twenty-four hours a day.
Do I think everyone should have to be a housewife? Fuck no. But if that's what you want, then more power to you. Part of what feminism should be about is the choice to be whatever you want, whether that's a working woman or "just a housewife".

Moronblogger wins the Iowahawk Endowment for the ArtsUS Citizen over at Traction Control, to my knowledge the Moronosphere's only Class III FFL, wins the award and the $33.18 grant.
Same differenceAce writes about the White House attacking Palin.
At first he wrote that he thought they were afraid, and then seemed to start thinking maybe they're trying to tie her to anti-Obamacare because she's so stupid and unpopular.
Interesting either way, but I don't think it matters either way.
Update:I put the rest under the fold, it's too long. I need a couple layers of editors. H/T Ace via Veeshir (edited for stray apostrophe, I know there are misspellings in there, I did it on purpose) more...

I used to read LGF a lot until about 2005 or so. Then I drifted away. I take it that Johnson went a little crazy after then? I know that a lot of people got banned from his site, and then Johnson went on this ironic kick that confronting militant Islam was racist. What's the story?

I read him regularly until a few months ago, one day I realized he wasn't filling my anti-jihadi needs so I stopped going.
I went there yesterday or the day before when Ace started batting him around, there was one post his front page about Hamas, the rest were all attacking the right or defending the truther.
I don't know what the hell happened to him.

Oh well, there's always the Jawa Report for my anti-jihadi needs. They're fun when they're going after cyber-jihadis. They keep shutting down their websites.

Guest posting at Right Wing News
Hawkins, after foolishly handing me the keys to Conservative Grapevine, decided to be even more foolish and hand me the keys to RWN for Sunday. You can see my post here.
You should post a "Stuff you don't want to know" warning on that though.
There are a lot of things that I try to ignore to get through the day. Like, I have to ignore the political leanings of each and every band I like and most actors for instance. Denial ain't just a way to get from Alexandria to Thebes.
In this case, I sort of knew that Paypal were scum about 2A issues but I could ignore it and use it to donate to worthy blogs (sorry DPUD) because nobody rubbed my face in it, but now?
I know and it ticks me off. I'll still probably use them when I have to, but it'll really bother me. Mostly because they've been through something similar (As I recall, I tried to ignore it at the time) so I know they don't give a rat's ass what any damn right-wing gun-fuckers think.
Ignorance really is bliss . Hmmm, maybe I can use recent history as a guide in how to release my anger at losing my blissful ignorance.
Down with Zombie McMoron No bytes for PayPal-haters DPUD lied, donations died Meeee-nuuuuuuu!
That does feel good.
Now I understand lefties a lot more.

All those links are from 2007 to 2001. The last one is my favorite, they're going to boycott PayPal in 2003. That'll show em.
Not only could they not care any less if you boycott them, they are actively happy if you do. It's right there in their rules.
These guys claimed to be going to be Paypal for gun folks, but their software blew up. They claim they'll get their crap together. We;ll see. I saw the link at Say Uncle it's from earlier this year. As to paypal? Caveat emptor and carpe scrotum and all that.

The interesting thing is their user agreement says purchase of firearms and firearms parts are prohibited, on Ebay. It does not say anything about anywhere else, like gunbroker or one of those sites. If they meant to say prohibited all around, they need to make that phrase much more clear.
They list a bunch of stuff that's illegal in the first place and stuff you need a class-3 license to buy or sell (but they won't do it even if it's legal) they also list receivers, parts of receivers and parts of guns and specifically list "high-capacity" magazines, i.e. more than 10 rd mags, i.e. 90% of all magazines not for a .45 ACP or larger handgun,
Furthermore, you may not use PayPal i... (military weaponry, ammunition, and related parts)...U.S. Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) stating that the item is unserviceable or
demilitarized.
There goes that Mitchell's Mauser or CMP Garand. Oh, and that bayonet and frog for your period, WWI uniform? Nope. Military ordnance.
And the catch-all You may not use PayPal in the purchase or sale of firearms or
ammunition unless the seller has received prior approval from PayPal.
i.e. nobody. They'll totally let anybody sell guns who gets permission, but they won't give permission. It's really not their fault they won't give permission. It's simply the way the rules work and they're not responsible for the rules per se, they're just the ones who have to enforce them.
This was one of the memories I had successfully repressed. Damn. I hate the little, you got no choice, slap in the face deals that happen every so often. Impotent anger is annoying.

So, I check my email this evening
From Alice H, an email entitled "Oh Dear..."
I was looking at our referrals, and noticed that we got one from Google
Blog Search. The search term was "ass fuck" (no quotes). Surprisingly
or unsurprisingly, we are the sixth hit for "ass fuck" on Google Blog
Search.
Apparently there's an old post where the words "ass" and "fuck" make frequent appearance, and that's what is driving all these hits. So first, I'd like to apologize to anyone who was looking for some sort of visual aid to assist with your punching of the clown, and had your junk immediately and viciously recede into your abdomen upon viewing our crappy little moronblog, but then again, why the fuck are you looking for porn on Google Blog Search to begin with? There are probably millions of places that'd give you better search results. Porn is of course strictly prohibited by our host, but if you're looking to see something obscene, I mean a really brutal ass-pounding, this might be, ahem, up your alley.
I'd also take this time to note that as I was reading Alice's email, the Gmail ticker had up an ESPN story on Wide Receiver Plaxico Burress testifying before the grand jury...

Why apologize for the way in which most of us initially found this place? I mean, most of us stuck around and some of us even became co-bloggers.
