McCain just earned a big steaming pile of 'Screw You'

I'm sure you'll agree.

Speaking to ABC's "This Week," McCain was asked whether Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin could count on his support.

"I can't say something like that. We've got some great other young governors. I think you're going to see the governors assume a greater leadership role in our Republican Party," he said.

I'm hoping he doesn't run again in 2010, because I can't see how he's going to raise any sort of funds to get re-elected.  He owes a huge debt to Sarah for keeping him from being completely embarrassed in the November election, and this is how he repays her.

1 He already said he will run again in 2010.  I just wish some brave Republican could defeat him in the primary.

2 Facecocking long over due!

3 His comments also tell me that I need to keep a close eye on Pawlenty and Huntsman. If they are buddies of McCain it usually means a kick to the crotch to conservatives. All his closest allies are assholes.

4 Huntsman is all about some global warming.  I know that's one of the things that Chaffetz (as his former Chief of Staff) distanced himself from in the Congressional election.

5 Wait a minute, McCain is running for what in 2010? I know it's not the presidency because if the republicans choose him again as their candidate I am officially out of the party. It sucks anyway. I like the idea of a new party, THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY. With a soldier holding a flag in one hand and the Constitution in the other as our symbol.

6 Someone's asking for a Nasty Adolph.

What a douchebucket McCain is.  At least he's making it easy to go back to loathing him as a GOP-stabbing RINO.

7 McCain is such a twat.  We'd have been fighting him as almost as much as we'd be fighting Obama.

8 Hey McCain, fuck you right back you utter classless asswipe.

For those who want to work from within to reform the GOP, the lesson to take from McCain is:  Fix the presidential primary system.

I'd love to see him defeated in 2010, whether by primary (best), Dem, or extraterrestrial invasion (probably 2nd best).

10 To call him a dick would be an insult to dicks everywhere.

11 Hermit: amen about the primaries. We had too many "independents" early on f&cking with things.

12 What Alex said. Does this man honestly think those votes were for him instead of Gov. Palin and/or the party??

14 WTF??  WTFF???  What an asswipe.

Mare, he is up for reelection for the Senate in 2010.

15 Peel: And he will probably win reelection again. We need a primary!
