Kirsten Bowie

Some people seem to hate Kirsten Dunst, I dig her.
I think it was John Derbyshire who said (when she was around 18 ) that every day was a good day because he had a chance of seeing her nipples on tv.

Semi-related, I had to prove I was over 18 but I forget my password and email address when I opened a youtube account so now I have to, for the first time ever on the intertubes, not be Veeshir somewhere.
That pisses me off.

Forgot the H/T, gandalf23 (I think it's a hereditary position) and fixed stupid "smiley face" thing.

It's all about the sportsmanship

This really steams me.
Wyatt Earp (aka Swifty Morgan) totally misunderstands the Olympics.
Seriously, it's about the sportsmanship that brings the world together.

What it's not about is the hot, toned   athletic women    who   compete.

He's sullying a beautiful thing.

Geek Tech - Build your own Microsoft Surface multi-touch platform

Yesterday I can across a vid of kids at Carnegie-Mellon developing a Dungeons and Dragons application for the Microsoft Surface

D&D on the Microsoft Surface from CrunchGear on Vimeo.

Posted it on facebook and today a friend of mine sent a link to an article on how to build your own.  This is cool.  Who wants to give me $850 so I can build one.

(and yes this deserves the hotassery tag.  It isn't as cool as machine guns and flamethrowers but it is cooler than shoes  :-) )

Didja miss me?

I missed you.  Really, I did!

I got some nasty computer virus, and, in the height of my laziness (and the need for a computer since Mr. Ember takes online classes), rather than wait a week and a half to get the old computer fixed, I bought a new one today.  It's shiny and purty and I'm glad to be back.  I missed you, interwebz!

So, to show you all how much I missed you, some (not-professional) Emberpics below the fold.  Complete with shoes that I know Alex wants.

Old School Sunday Night Hotassery

Since this place could use a little class

Before anyone asks (I'm looking at you Gabe), this is Gene Tierney.  She's best known for her work in Laura.  Really, they don't make movies, or starlets, like they used to.

I found this while randomly surfing around and must say, this sums up my viewing habits nicely.

In celebration of how awesome we are

Over a half million? Really? Really? I'm sure I account for only about 350,000 of those.

Anyway. Here we have a picture that combines some of our favorite things around here: Hot chick and boots

And, for some reason, I suddenly am put in mind of this:

Consumer whoredom ftw!

Wow I want this (pic below)

The coat's nice too.

Actually, I am totally addicted to Etsy.  I find it hilarious that a site which can seem all hippie dippy is actually a blast furnace of capitalism.  Now, if you excuse me, I need to go buy some more steampunk jewelry.

Bah.

I Am In A Mood. Therefore, in an attempt to cheer myself up, I shall inflict the following upon y'all.

Before anyone says anything, my utter love for this isn't because of the music.  Just.  Sayin'.

To make this vague politically relevant, one of the reasons I love this is because these are actual women with actual curves.  There's not one of them you look at and think "for the love of God have a sammich before you die".

I can somewhat comprehend the super stick thin look for runway models.  They are, literally, walking clothes hangers.  Curves can ruin the line of the look.  Of course, that rather begs the question for whom the designers are designing.  But the super stick thin Rachel Zoe look totally baffles me.  It's not attractive.  It's not hot.  It brings up some very disturbing questions about the elimination of actual feminine characteristics from the modern concept of beauty.  It's part and parcel of the super botox'd, fish lipped face that is supposed to be so attractive.  It's not.

I think it's great that Meryl Streep was even given a role in which she gets to play a sexy woman despite (and it is despite) the fact that she's 60.  I think it's utter crap that Vanity Fair chose to airbrush the hell out of her face for the cover while running a story about omg she's 60 and she's hot!  If she's do freaking hot, then don't do that to her face.

You know what one of the hottest pics of the last few years was?  Dame Helen Mirren getting snapped by a papparazzi on the beach in a pink bikini.  Holy hell, I would sell body parts from all y'all to look like that now.  (Pic below the fold).  She's 63 in that pic. That is a woman.  Catherine Zeta Jones' thighs (and everything else) in Chicago should be registered as a lethal weapon.

Women have curves.  Women have hips and breasts and thighs.  That should be celebrated, not lamented.  Size 0 isn't an aspiration, it's a disease (exception those whose bodies are naturally built for that).

Wow.  That got away from me.  But hey, there's hotassery so that makes up for it.

Presented for historical purposes

Megan Fox through the ages.

My chief complaint about the last Transformers movie?  No tasteful and integral to the plot nudity on her part.

Well, this year pretty much totally sucked.  Here's hoping next year sucks less so.

Since I believe in starting as you intend to go on, let's have some hotassery.

In lieu of content haz some hotassery

Since the entire universe is intent on peeving me during my vacation (srsly, voting at 1:00 a.m., srsly) [and epic!work!fail really didn't have to follow me], have some international bipartisan hotassery.

Now, I have to go into the spare room and scream into a pillow since my mother gets upset if you even say damn so I cannot express my feelings in the Moron approved manner.
