This is an interesting trade.  While some are trying to claim cornering, that appears to me as typical whining by traders caught on the wrong side of rising prices.  This seems to me to be a pretty straightforward bet on a continuing price rise due to bad cocoa harvests and difficulty increasing output in areas where cocoa is grown.

I don't know enough about the cocoa market (hell, almost noone does) to even hazard a guess as to whether he'll be successful in this trade.

3 Isn't Nutella (Food of the Gods) made from hazelnut, not cocoa?

I can't buy Nutella too often, but when I go to BJ's I get a large jar and two loaves of bread.
A day later I have a lot of dirty butter knives, I often end up using spoons, no bread and an empty jar of Nutella.

Straight off the side of a jar of Nutella:

Ingredients:  Sugar, Modified Palm Oil, Hazelnuts, Cocoa, Skim Milk, Reduced Minerals Whey (from Milk), Soy Lecithin: an emulsifier, Vanillin: an artificial flavor.

It's basically emulsified milk chocolate with hazelnuts.

You say that like it's a bad thing...it's really a case of the sum being so much better than the parts.  Hazelnuts plus chocolate...the only thing that comes near it is hazelnuts plus caramel.

Here's almost a year's worth of things you can do with Nutella.  I personally like it on apples.  I can pretend it's healthy that way, and the apple sort of clears my palate so each bite of Nutella tastes new.

There's a small restaurant chain here in Colorado that bases most of its dessert recipes off of Nutella.  The rest of their food (and the one beer that I've had there) is good too.
