Wow! Nice To See Kathleen Parker Knows What Is The Cause Of The Demise Of Newspapers!

I mean, shockingly, this piece sounds as though she, Allah, and the critics of Limbaugh are all one in the same. The contempt for your own side, the arrogance, and the hatred of media critics? True Northeast Republicanism at its finest.

The biggest challenge facing America's struggling newspaper industry may not be the high cost of newsprint or lost ad revenue, but ignorance stoked by drive-by punditry.

Yes, Dittoheads, you heard it right.

Drive-by pundits, to spin off of Rush Limbaugh's "drive-by media," are non-journalists who have been demonizing the media for the past 20 years or so and who blame the current news crisis on bias.

1 You know, I'm more than freaking willing to put my intelligence and knowledge up against Parker's and, really, anyone else's.  I mean, what with that whole testing off the fucking chart thing.

2 Okay, Kathleen, I'm a reporter for a newspaper (you've never heard of it) so  I guess I'm allowed to be somewhat critical.  You know what's killing newspapers?  Lousy reporting.  And, yes, liberal bias is a part of that.

And I suppose it's pointless to mention that people like you hectoring teh proles from your high horse about their disdain for the media isn't exactly helping.

3 In defense of Northeastern Republicans, us bitter clingers in central PA are pretty solid.

5 Don't forget us bitter clingers in western PA.... (no, I'm not in Murtha's district)

6 Okay, I bitterly cling to my guns, not a Bible so much.  I'm willing to match IQs with the likes of Kathleen Parker any time, any place.  Seriously.  If she wants to know the source of the problems with newspapers, all she has to do is look in the nearest mirror.

The slide down the crapper began when we got depts of 'Journalism' in colleges.

Report the dag-blaggged facts!!

As Bugs Bunny said, "What a maroon!  What a nincowpoop!" (i.e. Parker)

7 Sorry.  I just had to add this.  Parker's ignorance is matched only by her arrogance.  Her breathtaking ability to obdurately ignore reality is a modern marvel.  She actually makes people more stupid by merely existing.  I feel dirty for simply having the urge to point out what a waste of oxygen she is.

8 People would rather scan the internet for their news after getting their email. I also won't pay to be told I'm stupid and a racist by some hack working at a piece of crap newspaper. Cancelled my papers a year and a half a go. I'm embarrassed it took that long.
