Emergency Action Alert - Thomas Franks author of What's the Matter with Kansas speaking in Seattle

Sept 10th at Townhall

Mark the day, lets meet up there are and stand-up for what conservatism means.

Here is a description of the event from the townhall website:

Thursday, September 10, 2009, 7:30 – 9pm
Downstairs at Town Hall; enter on Seneca Street.

Conservatives no longer hold the reins of power in Washington, D.C., but best-selling author Thomas Frank (the landmark What’s the Matter with Kansas?) sees their fingerprints all over the capital—a messy legacy of blundering and corruption. In The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule, Frank asserts that a coalition dedicated to dismantling big government instead delivered a big sell-off, turning public policy into a private-sector bidding war. Frank will offer an analysis of what conservatism has wrought, from the earliest days of the Republican revolution to the final months of the Bush administration, and the resulting challenges facing the nation. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, with Elliott Bay Book Company.
