You know how you can tell that Einstein was right about time being elastic?

The last 15 minutes before the World of Warcraft server come back online seem to stretch forever.

On a related note; Blizzard restored my old account today, my faith in humanity is partially restored.  I don't know if Alex's intervention had anything to do with it or not but thanks for the effort at least.  M

Motivated by this episode I have to decided to right the wrongs in the world (of warcraft) and sent in my resume for the account services rep position that they have open.

Update:  I finally got logged in and now I have a dilemma.  When the account was stolen my highest level character was a level 77 hunter (Colgallon on Bael'gun if anyone is on that server).  Whoever stole the account got him up to level 80 and upgraded about half the gear purple.  He also acquired a lot of honor marks (1200 or so) but he stripped my bank and left me with 66 silver and destroyed my pet, Doggie a level 76 boar that I had had since 10th level and replaced him with a wasp.  Arguably I am better off now than I was but do I keep the levels and unearned gear or do I ask a GM to roll me back and restore the gold, as I recall I had about 4700 GP.  I couldn't afford cold weather flying yet.

1 I hope you get it!  The friend of a friend really likes working there.

You know, we totally need to start a Moron guild on some server.  Horde of course.

2 Wow, if there was a Moron guild (and Horde-side), I would seriously consider the epic amount of ass-kissing it would take to make my wife ok with me playing again.

Do. Not. Make me play WoW.

Working in gaming, I have successfully avoided this game for years.  Only the Moron Nation could make my unyielding will break.  Please, think of my family!

4 Me, I'd ask for my old stuff back. But I had a sentimental spot for pets I had that long and I liked leveling - I liked the stories that went with some of the quest chains. But you can always find the pet again and the leveling would go fast for the pet now and if you didn't like the leveling, you're better off now.

5 One of my guildies had his account hacked and they just gave restored everything he lost without then taking out what he gained.  Ended up making quite a bit off of it, in the end.

6 I'd ask for the roll back but on the other hand purples man.

Emmmmbeeeerrr.  Come to the Moron side!

See, my fear with WoW, 'cause I know myself, is I will be that guy.  You know, the person who plays WoW for 120 hours a week, loses her job, forgets to feed her kid, winds up on welfare, is arrested on charges of child endangerment, starts jonesin' for WoW so bad while in prison that she shanks a bitch in the face, is convicted of murder, and receives the death sentence.

And that, ladies and gentleman, is why I don't play WoW.

8 I've avoided WoW for much the same reason, but it's calling me.  Think we're gonna have to set up a Moron Guild.

9 Et tu, DPUD?

10 Starcraft II is coming out in July.

11 That'll be bitchin'.   ZERG RUSH!!!!

Posted by: doubleplusundead at May 18, 2010 10:08 PM (k6VDc)

12 You realize we can zerg rush in WoW right?

Also, I decided tonight that what we really need to do is set up a Moron Horde guild and a Moron Alliance guild and then PvP each other.

13 Now, anyone feels like co-oping through Halo: Reach when it drops in September, send me your gamertag.  I don't like Halo multiplayer (too many 13 year old boys calling me a stupid bitch and bragging about how much better they are than me), but I love a good co-op campaign.

Now that's just fighting dirty, that is.

15 Well, I got several Horde 80's on Earthen Ring, but if a Moron guild WAS to start up, I might be more than a touch willing to make a DK and tank for you Morons on pretty much any server.  Levelling is stupid easy right now.  I dunno if I could do a healer from 1-80 again, but maybe... JUST maybe I might.  So DK tank/DPS, I'm there.  If you need heals/DPS... well... I'd have to think about it.

16 I would so be down for a Moron WoW guild. I'm not a big PvPer, but I would even do that if it involved some friendly Moron rivalry.
